Crazy Giant German Rabbit

Check out this German Giant, one of the biggest domestic rabbit breeds on Earth, can grow to the size of a dog. Breeders covet giant rabbits for their looks, their fur, and their meat .

Breeder Carl Szmolinsky produced Germany’s biggest rabbit in 2006. His win inspired North Korean officials to purchase twelve of Szmolinsky’s German Giants to start a food breeding program. The giant bunnies’ offspring would help alleviate North Korea’s endemic food shortages.

Szmolinsky was scheduled to fly into Pyongyang to help them establish the program. North Korean officials, however, canceled his visit. He suspects that government officials ate the rabbits. “North Korea won’t be getting anything from me any more,” the upset Szmolinsky told Spiegel in the interview..

six Elements ;TiPs XxX ...

  • Beauty: The modern emphasis on photogenic features means that men and women with large eyes and mouths and sculpted faces are valued. Conventionality, symmetry and an even skin-tone also contribute to attractiveness.
  • Sexual attractiveness: Beauty is mainly about facial attractiveness while sexual attraction is largely about a sexy body. However sex appeal can also be about personality and style, femininity or masculinity, a way of being in the world. Beauty tends to be static and easily captured in a photo while sexual attractiveness is about the way someone moves, talks and behaves.
  • Social attractiveness: Includes grace, charm and social skills - the ability to make others feel at ease and happy, wanting to know you and, in all likelihood, desire you.
  • Liveliness: A mixture of physical fitness, social energy and good humor; those who are the life and soul of the party.
  • Presentation: The way you dress, style your hair, wear make-up or perfume and jewelry. People who are skilled at these accomplishments are more attractive.
  • Sexuality itself: A category that includes sexual competence, energy, erotic imagination, playfulness and all the things that constitute a sexually satisfying partner. The only one of the six which usually only applies in private, rather than social, situations.

Frog communities undergoing "McDonaldization"

The study of frog data was inspired by seperate research that found that when predatory fish were introduced into artificial ponds, not only did they reduce diversity within each pond, but they also made the species composition of the ponds more similar. In the language of ecology, the predators decreased both alpha diversity, or the diversity within each site, and beta diversity, the diversity among sites.

In the new frog study, the role of the predatory fish was played byBatrachochytrium dendrobatidis, a fungus that lives in water and moist soil that sickens or kills frogs. B. dendrobatidis is called a chytrid fungus from the Greek chytridium, meaning "little pot" because small blisters filled with sperm-like, flagellated zoospores form in the skin of infected frogs.

BlackBerry ban

the government's ban on the import of Black Berry cell phones because Research in Motion Ltd, the manufacturer from Canada, has failed to open official service centers in Indonesia.

A lot of people in Indonesia are using BlackBerry phones and more and more people will be using them because of their significant and important features such as cheap Internet capabilities like pushed email, chatting (YM, MSN Messenger, Google talk and especially BBM using special BlackBerry hand held device PIN) and Facebook as well as other similar features.

The number of BlackBerry users in Indonesia should be much higher than in Singapore. RIM has to think twice about turning down the government's offer to open RIM service center in Indonesia because of the potential buyers/users in Indonesia and therefore protection of the users should be there because RIM will surely benefit from selling a lot of devices in Indonesia.

As the manufacturer of the BlackBerry smart phone, RIM should be ready to establish service centers in Indonesia as a post-sales service.

The government has the right to force RIM to guarantee that consumers will not encounter difficulties with the products. I believe RIM will immediately fulfill the government's demand to establish post-sales services.

Saudis close TV station's bureaus after sex talk

Authorities in Saudi Arabia have shut down all local operations of a Lebanese TV station that broadcast an interview with a Saudi man who spoke frankly about sex, a government official said Tuesday.

Abdul-Rahman al-Hazza, the spokesman of the Ministry of Culture and Information, told The Associated Press that a second office of the Lebanese-based LBC satellite station, in Riyadh, was closed Monday because of the July 15 program. LBC's other Saudi bureau, in the western city of Jiddah, was shut on Saturday.

"This is a clear measure against any media outlet that harms the kingdom's reputation," al-Hazza said.

Officials at LBC, which has maintained a no-comment policy on the issue, were not reachable Tuesday.

The Saudi man, Mazen Abdul-Jawad, was detained July 31 for questioning. His interview shocked many in this conservative country where such frank talk is rarely heard in public.

Abdul-Jawad, a 32-year-old Saudi Airlines employee, has begged for forgiveness from Saudi society for appearing on LBC's "Bold Red Line" program.

The television segment begins with Abdul-Jawad apparently talking about the first time he had sex - at age 14 with a neighbor. Then the divorced father of four sons leads viewers into his bedroom where he says: "Everything happens in this room."

Saudi Arabia, which is the birthplace of Islam, enforces strict segregation of the sexes. An unrelated couple, for example, can be detained for being alone in the same car or having a cup of coffee in public. Saudis observe such segregation even at home, where they have separate living rooms for male and female guests.

Sulaiman al-Jumeii, Abdul-Jawad's lawyer, has insisted the interview was manipulated, his client was not aware in many instances that he was being recorded and the sex toys were provided by the LBC staff.

More than 200 people have filed legal complaints against Mazen Abdul-Jawad, dubbed a "sex braggart" by the media, and many Saudis say he should be severely punished.

The closure of LBC's Saudi bureaus was indefinite.

In a column in Okaz newspaper, al-Hazza said the kingdom will deal firmly with anything that harms religion, the nation and the citizen.

"Those who do not know Saudi Arabia should be aware that its policies are based on an uncompromising attitude over issues related to religion, values, morals and the nation," he wrote.

An editorial in the Saudi Gazette on Tuesday said the "crux of the issue rests on the bad judgment of both Mazen Abdul-Jawad, the so-called Casanova, and the producers of 'Bold Red Line."'

"All involved should have been able to predict the uproar such a program would bring in Saudi Arabia," said the editorial.

It said that because "Bold Red Line" was produced and aired by an Arab-owned TV station and focused on the exploits of a Saudi man, it "hit home far more powerfully than anything like" Western-produced programs do.

Saudi columnist Turki al-Dakheel disagrees with the measures taken against LBC although he was "disgusted by what I saw and heard."

"The closing of the channel's office, however, is not something that will solve the problem," he wrote in Al-Watan. The column was reproduced in English by Arab News on Tuesday.

"The anger shown by many citizens was deterrent enough to TV channels not to make similar mistakes," he added. "People have clearly expressed their attitude toward the program. Why then do we close the office of a TV

Face to face with fear ...

A woman dreams every night that she is being chased through an old haunted house by a huge, hideous monster. Night after night, it endlessly chases her, coming so close that she feels its icy breath on the nape of her neck.

Then one night, though she runs madly, the monster corners the terrified woman. Just as it reaches out to tear her apart, she turns around, finds her voice and screams, "What are you? Why do you chase me? What will you do to me?"

At that, the monster stops, straightens up, and with a puzzled expression, shrugs and says, "How should I know? It's your dream."

The Tibetan Buddhist teachings of Chogyam Trungpa state plainly that in order to experience fearlessness, it is necessary to face our fear; in fact, “the essence of cowardice is not acknowledging the reality of fear.” In his Shambhala teachings, he holds that discovering fearlessness comes, paradoxically, from “working with the softness of the human heart”.

We open ourselves vulnerably to what we are afraid of, and learn from the challenges and lessons it brings.
Fear has many names like dread, worry, panic, anxiety, and it manifests itself in varied ways as in avoidance, procrastination, perfectionism, judgement, control, agitation and violence. Fear usually prevents us from living up to our true potential. Whether we are afraid of the dark, of being abandoned, failure, commitment, flying or public speaking, fear can affect nearly every decision we make.

In ‘Embracing Fear’, psychotherapist Thom Rutledge tells us that sometimes fear is part of the problem, sometimes fear is the problem – but when we are really paying attention, fear is usually part of the solution.
We easily forget that fear is an essential part of our nature; an alarm system, there to get our attention, to push us out of harm's way. So we need to learn to distinguish between unhealthy or neurotic fear that holds us back, and healthy fear that helps us to move on. Unhealthy fear is persistent, exaggerating and even inventing potential dangers; healthy fear stands guard responsibly, informing us immediately of real danger. While unhealthy fear nags us endlessly about everything that could possibly go wrong now, tomorrow, the day, week, month or year after, or years later even, healthy fear inspires us to do what can be done in the present.

It is only through facing, exploring, accepting and responding to fear that we free ourselves from its paralyzing grip. If befriending or embracing our fear seems too much, then as a first step, one can simply acknowledge it: Yes, I feel fear. I recognise it, but I do not have to be led by it.

We can also work with our fear by recognizing it as a sign of the inner work we need to do. What is this fear waking me up to? What am I being asked to develop in myself? What old habits and reactions must I abandon or transform?

What scares or threatens us can easily cause us to become aggressive and selfish, to react in violent ways, to step off the Path. Most spiritual traditions teach us that fear is to be ‘met’ if we are to understand it in any measure and work with it to grow in understanding. On the way to achieving compassion or equanimity or peace or fearlessness, we are called upon to face and get to know that which is disturbing, threatening, disagreeable or fearful; only then can we reach and experience what those end states really are.
